Without the power, airtime and resources to compete with the big parties, they simply cannot make any serious progress.Letters From A Toryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14612766550608940053noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3881762807913180318.post-8009687885866960832009-09-14T14:12:40.453+01:002009-09-14T14:12:40.453+01:00Great work Mark. I wonder if you missed this poll while away on holiday: http://page.politicshome.com/uk/majority_of_voters_would_welcome_drug_legalisation.html

Comparing with the 2002 attitudes in a poll here:
http://observer.guardian.co.uk/drugs/story/0,,686454,00.html

It looks like the proportion of people supporting legalising all drugs has gone from around 2% to 19% in 7 years. This may be down to the questions asked being different. Would all that 19% respond "yes" to the "even heroin" question? But it still looks like a massive shift in public opinion in the absense of any political campaign. Add a political campaign and who knows what could happen.Ewan Hoylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00007206200639738854noreply@blogger.com
