Until we can convince the Scottish Electorate to vote for us again, we could loose more seats than is assumed.

What is required is for,the leadership in Westminster to become much more vocal in explaining what we have achieved. As it stands, very little of the 75% of our manifesto, which is said to have been achieved, is not visable or understood by the public at large, and until they understand what we have achieved they will not return to support us.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3881762807913180318.post-44146116860272237772011-07-25T14:26:40.376+01:002011-07-25T14:26:40.376+01:00It is a sad fact of life that when the country is ...It is a sad fact of life that when the country is in crisis political views become polarised and centre parties (and small parties) get squeezed.
The Lib Dems should bounce back when the crisis eases, although this may be some years yet.
I'm prepared to bet that the Labour party 'may' have one more shot at government before oblivion or merger, but it is far from a foregone conclusion that they will ever have a majority government again.
It would take something remarkable to happen to turn around the shrinking vote share of the two main parties.
The future's bright, the future's yellow!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3881762807913180318.post-30706051805013130152011-07-23T21:57:50.696+01:002011-07-23T21:57:50.696+01:00A nicely balanced article - nice to see considerin...A nicely balanced article - nice to see considering the usual glum stuff you see from Lib Dems.

I may not be a LD, but I don't really subscribe to the doom and gloom scenario. Perhaps there is an element of panic in much of the LD discussion on this subject, having not been in Gov for so long the Party has probably forgotten that the only poll that really counts is the General Election one.

All you need to do now is show people who you really are (which actually may be hard as I'm not certain you (the Party) really know what the answer to that question is).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3881762807913180318.post-4825417943072688302011-07-18T10:28:06.162+01:002011-07-18T10:28:06.162+01:00Ahh, whatiffery!
